Less than a month after its public debut at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show, the Lamborghini Huracán Performante already crosses the Atlantic to make its first appearance at Lamborghini Montréal. For the occasion, the new fastest production car on the Nürburgring was wearing a very striking livery with its Bianco Monocerus metallic paint and its 20-inch forged “Loge” black rims with central locking. A configuration that perfectly matches the aerodynamic parts made in Forged Composites brought by the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system which makes the car even more aggressive-looking while improving its handling at high speed.
The cockpit of the Huracán Performante displayed at Lamborghini Montréal is astonishing too. It also receives Forged Composites inserts for the center console, air vents, paddle shifters and door handles. On this example, it is combined with Alcantara upholstery highlighted by red accents to offer an even sportier atmosphere.
As a reminder, the Lamborghini Huracán Performante is the most powerful model of the Huracán range thanks to its non-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine delivering 630 hp and 443 lb-ft, which is still mated to Lamborghini’s AWD system. The Huracán Performante even outperforms the Huracán LP 620-2 Super Trofeo racecar which boasts 612 hp and 420 lb-ft. Unsurprisingly, performance figures are outstanding : the 0 to 100 kph only takes 2.9 seconds and the top speed is rated at 325 kph.
These exceptional specs allowed the Lamborghini Huracán Performante to break the lap record on the Nürburgring for a production car with a blistering time of 6 minutes and 52.01 seconds, thus beating the previous record of 6 minutes and 57 seconds held by the Porsche 918 Spyder.
